Jatoba is a striking tropical hardwood from Central and South America that naturally ages to a rich deep brownish-red hue.  It is exceedingly hard and highly shock resistant making it an ideal choice for both high traffic interior and exterior applications.  Historically, it has been used for wagon wheels, boat building, and railroad ties among other high abuse applications.  Perfect for low maintenance decks.   Janka Hardness Scale rating: 2820 lbs.*
